What it found
Most of the benefit was the enforced default layout, not the time saved. A scaffolder is a way of writing down a decision once.
The work
What was actually built
Starting a Python project means the same nine steps every time, in the same order, and getting one wrong is only discovered later.
mkpyenv does them in one command. Directories, virtual environment, gitignore, starter files, laid out the way they should have been laid out anyway.
Shipped and used. The interesting part was how much of the value came from the opinions baked in rather than from the automation.
